Christmas Table Runner

For my Birthday, I received the tumbler die for my Accuquilt GO! and I could not wait to try it out. I was able to make this beautiful table runner in one day.  It is so quick and easy.  I love my GO!

Now I am cranking out some place mats for Christmas gifts.  I will post as soon as I get them completed.

Rag Quilt Doggie Pillow?

Well, after I finished my purple rag quilt, I was looking thru my fabric stash and stumble accross a bunch of Snoopy fat quarters and decided to make something for my sweet Cookie to lay on when he is in my sewing room with me.  The fabric is green and has the Peanuts gang golfing.  I chose this for 2 reasons....1) because my sewing room is in the basement which has a golf theme and 2) because snoopy is a dog silly! Ha ha.
Anyway, it turned out really cute.
I used my Accuquilt GO to cut the squares.  I made is 4x4 squares with a regular throw pillow type back.

Then I used a big old throw pillow from our family room to put inside.  I tried to get him to lay in it when I took the picture but he just wasnt into it. 

I think that will be all that I will have time for until after Thanksgiving.....Talk to you soon!

My Purple Rag Quilt

Well, I had some time this weekend so I made something for myself.  That does not happen very often.  Most of the time I make things for gifts.  I had this purple fabric from a trip to Nuts and Bolts fabric shop in Yoder several years ago.  It made a very pretty lap quilt.  Perfect for covering up with in my recliner in front of the TV dont you think?

New Rag Quilt

I had these purple fabrics in my fabric stash and decided to make myself a rag quilt.

The last 2 rag quilts I made, I donated to the Teen Auction at church so I made

sure that this time it was something for me to keep.  Do you every do that?  You make

stuff all the time but give it away and never keep anything for yourself?  I should finish sewing this up

later today and then off to the laundry mat to give it some Fluff.

Everything in its place.

Brooke shamed me into cleaning up my craft room and I am glad I did!

Now everything has a place and it all looks so neat and tidy!  I got alot of inspiration looking

on You-Tube.  Now my room is so much fun to be in.  I am currently working on a new GO Quilt!

1 Million Pillowcase Challenge

Brooke and I had a great time creating pillow cases to donate to the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge.  If you have not heard about it, I will attach the link that I found while surfing the web one day.  It is a great way to use up some of your fabric stash and the pillow cases turn out fantastic!  I actually found a tutorial for sewing pillowcases on You-Tube and once I got thru the first one, it was a piece of cake.

GO for it quilt

Here is my "GO for it Quilt" table topper.  I cut the quilt pieces with my Accuquilt GO fabric cutter.  Love it!  I have started a new rag quilt and will post pictures soon!
